Counselor Info
Counselors have the best job at camp! They work in pairs and have
a 'cabin pack' of about six campers in their care. Counselors
lead devotions, encourage and mentor campers, and share the Gospel
of Jesus Christ.
Counselors work closely with the staff to meet the needs of their
campers. All counselors are required to fill out a written application
form, participate in counselor training and attend an interview if necessary.
Counselors in Training or CITs are first-time counselors. This
is a great opportunity to get introduced to camp by working with
an experienced counselor. CIT’s also need to fill a written
application, participate in the counselor
training and attend an interview if necessary.
It is a Stepping Stones policy that every volunteer must submit
a police check prior to volunteering at camp. This is an important
and necessary precaution to help ensure the safety of the children
who come to camp. This information is found at the end of the
Counselor application form.
